ACs, cars got cheaper, food got costlier in April
Consumer inflation reached 3.48% in April, which mean prices were that much higher over April 2025.
This is a slight jump from 3.4% inflation in March. Food inflation, however, saw a sharp spike at 4.2% from 3.87% in March.
Retail inflation is still under the RBI’s target of 4%, though analysts expect prices to rise over coming months.
