A lot of counterfeit goods, and products with tampered expiry dates are circulating in the market.
This is as per the government’s own admission, with the Consumer Affairs Secretary calling it a “very huge problem”.
Over 1 crore counterfeit product listings were detected on one e-commerce platform alone over the last three years, the secretary said.
