AI created over 6 lakh new jobs between 2023–2025 in the US, as per Linkedin data reported by WSJ.
While the data is for the US, it is indicative of hiring that could happen in India. New positions such as 'Head of AI' and 'data annotators' are being added.
However, lakhs of tech workers are also being laid off globally. 1.25 lakh tech workers were fired in 2025 alone, as per Layoffs.fyi.
